Oscar nominated Taraji P. Henson stands up for Animal Rights

Taraji P. Henson joins Kimora Lee Simmons and Nia Long as the latest celeb to say “I’d Rather Go Naked” For People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The Oscar-nominated actress strips down for the animal rights group in a new anti-fur campaign. The former fur-wearer shows off her svelte body in the “Fur? I’d Rather Go Naked” poster and billboard campaign. Taraji says she used to wear fur without giving it a second thought, until she saw a documentary that revealed how animals on fur farms are skinned alive.

“I was riveted. I cried. You don’t have to kill an animal just because you want to be hot and fly. And I really stand by that….When I realized what went into—not just, we’re not just even talking about a full-length fur coat, I’m talking about just … fur on your gloves or on your jacket or—what goes into making that little piece of fur ripped my heart out. And as humans, we have control. What if someone said, ‘Black skin is the new fur?’”

Taraji said during an interview with PETA.
